The publication of classic Marp app has ended.

Marp desktop app, a simple Markdown presentation writer, already had stopped maintenance since 2017. Today Marp team is focusing into Marp Next project, the brand-new presentation ecosystem for the future.

To make links between your Markdown files just use a relative path to the other Markdown file. The configuration you copy pasted in your config.yml provides a plugin to convert those URLs. So your Markdown files will have correct links both in Github and Github Pages. The index page of your website can be a index.md file or a README.md file.

  • Extra Markdown features: Table of Content, Diagrams; GitHub flavored Markdown: Yes; Code Syntax Highlighting: Yes; Export to: HTML, PDF, ePub, Word, OpenOffice and a bunch of other formats.   • Rmarkdown package: There is now an rmarkdown package available on github that interfaces with Pandoc. Use RStudio for converting R Markdown to PDF.

Why?

We had kept publishing app for stuck users that are thinking Marp Next is too complex.

But recently, we received a serious security report for outdated app. By opening a malicious Markdown, an attacker can execute arbitrary code through remote. We are responsible for saving users from malicious.

If you are currently using Marp app, please stop using as soon as possible and migrate into well-maintained Marp Next tools.
